Gulf Air operates four passenger aircraft types; Airbus 340-300 (343) and Airbus 340-300 (Sleeper Seat service) for long and ultra-long haul flights; Airbus 330-200 (Sleeper Seat service) for medium and long haul flights and the Airbus 320-200s, for short to medium haul sectors.
Our Sleeper Seat service is available between Bahrain and Delhi, Frankfurt, Kathmandu, Kuala Lumpur, London and Paris. However, due to operational requirements the aircraft operating on these routes are subject to change without notice. |

It's not only the convertible seats, finest duvets and pillows that help you sleep, it's also the small touches like the removable arm-rests for that little bit more elbow room, the mug of hot chocolate or Horlicks and the numerous pockets for you to stash your specs, shoes and even your laptop.
Currently available on all A330 aircraft and progressively being rolled out across the A340 fleet, our Sleeper Seats are designed to help you sleep, but they also offer flexible seating to enable you to dine with a friend as well as in-seat laptop connections and phones and access to 21 video and 21 audio channels.

To offer you an enhanced premium product, we have modernised our traditional three cabin service into a consolidated two cabin product. Falcon Gold improves the way we serve you as a premium customer, giving you better value for your money.
Offering the very best elements of Gulf Air’s First Class for the price of a traditional Business Class fare. The introduction of Falcon Gold across the airlines network forms part of its new strategic direction to create a consistent and enhanced travel experience across its entire wide and narrow body fleet.
Our esteemed First Class passengers continue to enjoy all the elements of the service to which they have become accustomed, at better value. Falcon Gold fares will be on a par with traditional Gulf Air Business Class fares with a simple choice of pricing options linked directly to the flexibility of the ticket purchased.
Gulf Air’s multi- award winning Sky Chef service, previously exclusive to First Class passengers, will be enjoyed throughout the new single premium cabin. In addition, luxury pillows and blankets as well as overnight amenity packs will be rolled out to further enhance customer comfort on board.
As part of its substantial fleet and product upgrade programme, from the end of 2011 Gulf Air will introduce a new state-of-the-art flat bed throughout the Falcon Gold cabins on long haul flights operating on routes over 4.5 hours. In the interim, customers travelling on a fully flexible Falcon Gold ticket will be granted the airline’s sleeper seats, positioned at the front of the aircraft, when available.
Passengers taking advantage of the excellent value, less flexible Falcon Gold fares will continue to enjoy Gulf Air’s lie-flat seats, available on the airline’s A330 and A340 aircraft which operate on Gulf Air’s long haul routes including, London, Frankfurt, Paris, Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok and a number of regional routes on an ad-hoc basis.
Gulf Air will also be refurbishing the entire Falcon Gold cabin interior to create a comfortable and consistent feel to the newly defined premium space. This will be completed by April 2010.

- There are now only two cabins onboard our aircraft; Falcon Gold and economy.

Our unique aid for that perfect journey
To help families traveling with children - and those passengers who aren't - Gulf Air offers a free service dedicated to young travelers, the Sky Nanny.
Our dedicated childcare service for children has been extended to the Bahrain lounge, and the Sky Nanny is available from 0800 to 1400 each day to provide a wide range of on-the-ground services to complement the much heralded on board service.
Working on board all wide-bodied aircraft flying long haul routes, Sky Nannies offer help with boarding and disembarkation, give parents that much needed break during a long flight and generally provide a watchful eye on the little ones.

Every Gulf Air Sky Nanny is specially trained for inflight childcare services so parents can be assured that children will receive the best care and attention every step of the way.

Help from the moment you board your flight
The job of a Sky Nanny isn't confined to just helping onboard. From the moment you arrive at the departure gate, a Sky Nanny will be on hand to escort you to a dedicated seating area in the aircraft. Onboard, she will then outline her role to you, suggest appropriate dining times for children and check any special dietary requirements you may have arranged beforehand. (These need to be notified at least 24 hours prior to departure.)

Making travel a pleasure
It is after take-off where the Sky Nanny really comes into her own, as your children are the centre of her attention. Arranging convenient dining times for the children to leave you free to enjoy your own meals; setting up the bassinet if you're travelling with a baby, or distributing activity packs for older children.
Passengers travelling with infants up to the age of 7 months and weighing less than 10 kilos may use the baby bassinet facility onboard.
Sky Nannies can organize drinks for children and do their meal service during the main bar service so you're free to assist your children if necessary - without interrupting your own meal. They'll also find lots of things to keep your children occupied throughout the journey. We even have a selection of games and toys to be given to the children as mementos.
And of course it's very reassuring to know a Sky Nanny will be keeping a watchful eye on your child should you doze off or just want to get engrossed in a book or a movie. |
Special entertainment for little ones
With Sky Nannies on board, every child will enjoy that special bit of attention - whether it's a snack during the movie or help with a tricky bit of coloring. And, on our inflight entertainment system, we've Disney specials and kid's movies (only on A330 & A340), as well as an educational audio channel (available on all aircrafts).

Sky Nanny's hints when travelling with children
• Remember to pre-reserve a bassinet on all flights during your journey, not just the first sector.
• Special children’s meals are available at no extra charge. These should be requested when booking a child’s ticket or at least 24 hours before departure.
• Gulf Air carries nappies and other baby supplies on board. Please ask our Sky Nanny if there’s anything you may have forgotten to pack for your baby. Gulf Air offers baby food, nappies, baby powder, baby lotion, baby wipes, baby bib & cotton bud packs in all flights
• As part of our service, Gulf Air provides toys and games to all children on board. We have soft toys for those under two. Gulf Air offers camel soft toys as well as picture or ‘point and see’ books for children aged 2 years and below on medium (3 and a half hours or more) and long haul flights and coloring books, pencils and other games for children aged between three and 10 years.
• Push-chairs cannot be accepted onboard but are allowed as far as the gate, and must be checked in as baggage. Certain destinations will allow pushchairs to be made available during disembarkation upon advice by the Sky Nanny through CSM & Captain’s telex while Gulf Air offers its own pushchair only upon arrival in Bahrain.

Having trained at some of the world's top hotels, our team of over 100 Sky Chefs introduce a fine dining experience. All the refinements of a five-star restaurant, but with unparalleled views at 35,000 feet.
Once you've had a chance to browse our newly enhanced menu, the Sky Chef will come and discuss the options and how you would like your choice served. Dishes range from a delectable range of appetizers, a choice of European and Middle Eastern dishes combined in a contemporary style and the ever-popular Arabic mezze selection.
When you've made that difficult selection, the Sky Chef will then prepare it for you personally, as well as recommending an accompanying beverage from our Sky Cellar. There're all the usual soft drinks, plus excellent wines, spirit and, of course, vintage champagne.
After your entrée, you can indulge in a fresh cheese platter or, if you've room, one of our Sky Chefs' delicious desserts. A tea or coffee to finish, and it's the perfect meal.
This exclusive personalized service is available on A330 wide-bodied flights throughout the Gulf Air network and on A340 wide-bodied flights on selected routes throughout the network.

Welcome to Air Entertainment, the exciting personal entertainment network available to all Gulf Air passengers offering more than 100 hours of video and audio options.
In addition to a variety of movies in Arabic, Tagalog, Hindi, Malayalam and Tamil, there are movies for younger audiences to keep them amused and occupied. You can also access a number of Air TV programs ranging from documentaries and sport to drama, concert performances, comedy and cartoons.
On some Gulf Air aircraft, Falcon Gold (Business Class) passengers have the bonus of a personal video library, with an additional 16 films on the menu, including two Arabic films.
